Boston Chicago Maine Nassau New Hampshire New York City New York State San Francisco Smokey Mountains Washington, D.C. Hurricane Frances Sunrises Sunsets Shots From Wherever

I have enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.  My travels are usually associated with some aspect of history that I am studying at the time or have some personal interest in.  I will travel to areas where Presidents have lived or where they are buried.  I am asked why I take so many photographs of cemeteries.  I have a fascination with those that are buried there knowing that everyone has an interesting story to tell. Truthfully cemeteries are generally very beautiful and very peaceful.  And honestly, that is the closets I will ever get to the rich and famous.  My favorite cemeteries so far are Arlington Cemetery in Washington D.C. and Graceland Cemetery in Chicago.

It is hard to pick out my favorite American places to visit -- each city has its own unique characteristics. I do favor the Northeast maybe because that is where I was born and it is so full of history.

I have also included several other random categories of photographs: Hurricane Frances - which just came through the area, sunrises, sunsets and a group I call "shots from wherever".  There is no significance to the pictures selected.  I chose some for the information contained within them and some just because of the memory or beauty they bring to mind.
