The Study of Philosophy is probably one of the hardest to comprehend but one of the most rewarding in one's personal education.  It is the study that attempts to balance what we as the human race does to survive, compete while it delineates our differences from other species in the balance of Nature.  Personally it helps me look at everyday questions from different perspectives because as individuals and societies that is what we deal with daily.  I don't know that it chances the way I look at society's institutional issues such as religion, government, family, personal rights and crime, but it helps me to understand the differences that I witness in both education and travel.  It makes it easier for me to evaluate for myself the very political issues we face as society -- that may not be a good result, but, it makes my life a little less confusing.
